El Hamaquero is part of the Community Ethnotourism Project of the Afro-descendant Community Council of the Rosario Islands, which after many years of struggle and resistance achieved the collective title of its ancestral territory in the Rosario Islands, where today it exercises its government and participates in the management of the Rosario Corals National Natural Park, which protects the largest coral reefs in Colombia. We invite you to visit the town of Orika, a lively village of fishermen and sailors, and to share its vibrant culture.
Nature tourism coexists with party tourism on our island. In our case, we have had to coexist with the beach club tourism model. It is a recurring comment, since we are right next to one of these businesses, with music from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, which could contrast with the peace of our piece of paradise.
