Our family-run Karibuni Lodge is one of the best-rated hotels in Chile. Our accommodation offers sustainable luxury tourism in the heart of nature, with breathtaking views of the lake and the active Villarrica volcano. Our privileged location on the pristine northern shore of Lake Villarrica, our personal and warm guest service, and our unique concept with private spa suites make our Karibuni Lodge one of a kind. Guests are spoiled for choice when it comes to where they want to enjoy the breathtaking views. They can choose between the comfort of their bed, their own terrace, the private outdoor shower, the private hot tub, or the private sauna. Private beach access, a seasonal panoramic pool, viewpoints, a 2.5-hectare garden, optional massages, alternative therapies, holistic coaching, and healthy organic food will make your stay unforgettable.
We are a family from Munich who have realized our dream of owning our own small lodge in Chile. After traveling the world for many years, we now want to offer guests from all over the world what we have always enjoyed most when traveling. Here, sensational views, well-being, and personal contact are our top priorities. In keeping with the name of our lodge, “Karibuni,” which means “welcome” in the African language Kiswahili, we would like to extend a warm welcome to our guests. Our goal and motivation is to make every day the best of your vacation.
Explorers will also find plenty to enjoy here. Within a two-hour radius, you can explore four national parks, eight volcanoes, 15 hot springs, numerous lakes, lagoons, rivers, waterfalls, and the beautiful Pacific coast with sea lions, seals, and penguins. The outdoor metropolis of Pucon is only 43 km away. The town of Villarrica, with its restaurants and cafés, can be reached in 20 minutes. The nearest airport is in Temuco, only 68 km away. With heart, experience, and passion, we are happy to help you plan your vacation.

LOCAL TAX LAW

Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%.

Foreign tourists: to be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA).

The suite offers complete privacy in a rustic, modern style with spectacular views of Lake Villarrica and the active Villarrica volcano. Boasting a private entrance, this suite also comes with 1 bedroom, a seating area and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. The suite features soundproof and isolated walls, a wardrobe, a safe deposit box, free WIFI as well as a terrace with lake and Volcano views. The unit has 1 king size bed and 1 futon.
