What our guests like about Nestledown that it is private and peaceful. It feels like time has slowed right down and they’re on holidays. In the morning I serve breakfast to their patio or suite at what ever time they choose. In the garden we have many colourful plants attracting hummingbirds. Our European guests find this aerial show a real treat to watch. Plus we're so close to the bay it's not unusual to see eagles fishing. Because Nestledown is geographically located in the middle our guests like the fact they can explore one half of the Coast one day and the other half the next. Our guests like the fact we're located ten minutes from the village of Sechelt where there are many restaurants and eclectic shopping all year round.
The two of us are retired and live at Nestledown. I'm trained in the food industry. Especially with dietary needs. I love to garden and paint with watercolours and acrylics. My husband David's passion is music. He loves to jam with the locals. Carpentry is a hobby for him as well. It shows in our suites. We ourselves love to spend our free time on the Coast doing what the tourists do.
Our immediate neighbouhood is called Welcome Woods. Within walking distance you can go to the beach, swim, picnic, walk to the store for double scooped ice cream, check out the nursery, hike though the woods or mountain bike though the trails. Since the Sunshine Coast is only 90 kilometers long we consider it our neighbourhood. It's easy to have fish and chip lunch at a marine pub at one end of the Coast, come back to Nestledown for a few hours then go to a jazz or blues concert at the opposite end of the Coast. As for activities whether it's festivals, concerts, kayaking, golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, dining or a special event it is so easy to get there from here.
