In B&B Chute Couette Café .... Unparalleled pleasure since 1996 On March 15, 1996 we bought our house to start a cottage under the name of Chute Couette & Café, given the location near a waterfall and facing the river. A place sought for its most beautiful sunsets. The murmur of the fall adds a special cachet and is appreciated by tourists from all over the world. Portageois adoption, we are happy to welcome our customers and make them discover the charms of one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec: Notre-Dame-du-Portage (190km east of Quebec). A STRING OF ISTOIRE The couple April, Eva and Jean-Baptiste, a native of Notre-Dame-du-Portage, had spent a few years in the United States to work with the goal of returning to the ancestral land of the Nadeau family (parents of Eva). In 1945, on their return, they built two large houses on each side of Nadeau-D'Amours Creek. This waterfall of the brook inspired our friend Jean-Baptiste. Handyman, he made a miniature house and a windmill with which he produced the electricity used to light the houses, a small bridge that connected the two sides of the little river
