According to the Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years of age cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or authorized guardian. If a minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it is necessary to present a written authorization for the minor to check into the hotel. This authorization must be notarized, signed by both parents and presented together with certified copies of the parents' identity documents.

All minors under the age of 18 must present a valid photo ID that proves their identity and that of their parents. This document must be presented even if the minor is in the company of his parents.

If the minor is accompanied by only one of the parents, it will be necessary to present an authorization notarized and signed by the absent parent, together with a certified copy of the parent's identity document.
