Campinas is a vibrant and traditional neighborhood in downtown Belém, Pará. It’s home to some of the city’s most important landmarks, including the Theatro da Paz, a stunning neoclassical opera house built during the rubber boom era. The area is rich in history and culture, offering visitors a glimpse into Belém’s colonial past through its preserved architecture and charming streets.
The neighborhood is well-connected, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions. It’s also close to Praça da República, a popular public square surrounded by trees, fountains, and weekend markets. Campina is a lively and walkable area, making it a great base for exploring the city during events like COP30.
If you’re staying nearby, you’ll be in the heart of the action — close to museums, theaters, and local cuisine — while still enjoying the charm of a historic and welcoming neighborhood
