Chalet Garibaldi - Total Chalets

Total Chalets is small, independent chalet company and is owned and managed by Brits Jay and Laura. Laura and Jay bought their first chalet, Chalet Jora, in 2008, after enjoying their first winter season in Bansko. The success of Chalet Jora led them to expand, with the addition of Chalet Mila and Chalet Garibaldi. From the 2014-15 winter season, they also took on Chalet Hotel Peretol in Grandvalira, Andorra! Jay is based mainly in Bansko during the winter, and in the summer he enjoys sailing and kite surfing in Croatia. Laura is kept busy behind the scenes, with the admin side of the business, and she also visits the chalets during the season as much as possible. Together with a small team of carefully trained staff, their aim is to offer guests first class hospitality and accommodation without the expensive price tag of the rest of Europe. Bookable on a room by room basis or for private use for larger groups. Sleeps 2 to 20 people. Our fully catered rate includes Sofia airport transfers (Saturdays only), breakfast, daily cake after skiing, 3 course dinners (excludes Sunday and Wednesday) with free beer and wine, one free spa entry per person at a nearby hotel, and free resort shuttles between the chalet and gondola. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HAVE ON-SITE SAUNA OR OTHER SPA FACILITIES. Chalet Garibaldi is ideally located only 150m from the historic old town and also the main street in Bansko, where you will find various shops, bars, restaurants, night clubs and an ice-rink. The main ski lift is a short walk away, however we provide morning and afternoon shuttle services in our private minibus. It is also possible to leave ski/board equipment at the gondola and walk to and from the chalet in your normal shoes via the various apres-ski hot spots. Chalet Garibaldi offers 8 modern en-suite bedrooms with traditional features such as dark wood beams and exposed brick-work. The sunny dining room with mountain views is a great place to sit and chat about the days events and help yourself to drinks from our chalet honesty bar. Bansko is known for offering more affordable skiing than western Europe. It is great for families, and groups of friends. Unlike purpose built ski resorts Bansko is a charming town with plenty of history. The town and the mountain are World Heritage Sites, protected by UNESCO. Bansko has the best snow record in Bulgaria and the winter season runs from Mid-December to Mid-April. With north facing slopes and 80% snow making coverage, Bansko attracts skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
