“Everything was perfect. The room, the lighting, the space for the suitcase—every detail was thoughtfully considered. Breakfast is delivered to the room just the way we want it. It’s clean, new, and spacious. The location is excellent. I would...”
We can’t wait to welcome you to our family bed and breakfast. Our aim is to make you feel right at home in our three spacious and well-equipped rooms. Each is decorated in a modern, minimal style, for an elegant feel, while still ensuring you have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our place is a typical Brussels townhouse and was originally a family home. It took us two years to restore it to its former glory and we finally opened the doors to our first guests in September 2010.
What I love about running a bed and breakfast is that it’s a way for me to travel the world without leaving the street. I meet people from all walks of life and hear stories from across the globe. I’m also proud to introduce people to my city and help them discover a side to Brussels that they wouldn’t normally discover. This is a city with a lot going on and there are some real hidden gems that I’m happy to share with our guests – great little restaurants, cosy cafés and cultural happenings off the beaten track, as well as the usual city highlights. And X2Brussels is very much a family-run place – you’ll meet my mother who is equally enthusiastic to welcome you, and she certainly cooks a fantastic breakfast too.
X2Brussels may be right in the city centre, but it’s also located on a particularly calm one-way street, paved with the traditional Brussels cobbles. It’s a creative, multicultural neighbourhood, with art schools just next door and two spots on the Comic Strip Route either side of the B&B (Yoko Tsuno and XIII). We’re five minutes’ walk away from everything – the spectacular Grand Place to the north, the chocolateries and antiquaries of the Sablon to the east and the old Marolles neighbourhood with its flea markets and brasseries to the south. Walk another five minutes northwest and you’ll stumble upon the stylish Dansaert neighbourhood, perfect for checking out the hip cafés and designer boutiques or even just a spot of window shopping. Getting here and away is easy too – it’s a fifteen-minute walk to both Brussels Central and Brussels South (Midi) train stations.
