Studio Kittel is a newly built guest room. Built in 2020 in architectural concrete with warm accents. It is a small studio of 41m² with all modern comforts such as underfloor heating, wifi, walk-in shower, anti-allergenic floor covering, flatscreen etc. etc. It is located on the first floor of the building and a stone's throw from the center of the UNESCO heritage center of Bruges in a quiet and safe street. Far enough from the center to stay out of the night parties, but close enough to enjoy medieval Bruges immediately after arrival.
Studio Kittel is an Alt-lifestyle friendly place.

We can consider without certainty and with a necessary dose of assumption that the street name where Studio Kittel is located was called a cattle road or also drift road. The road along which the cattle were driven to the market place or to the (back) harbor. Something that is not unthinkable due to the location of this street. This road was also a connecting road between the harbor and the military quarters that were (are) located further east in Sint-Kruis.
According to popular tradition, many marines said an extensive and carnal farewell to their loved ones on this road before they signed on again for long weeks or months away from home. According to equally popular tradition, this road was also the road where ladies of pleasure made a not inconsiderable economic progress when they welcomed the marines with, among other things, open arms, before the latter moved on to their mother's wives in the city.
This avenue soon got the name Kitteldreef, a popular inflection of Koeteldreef or Cattledreef, but now here with an analogy to the amorous acts that were performed there. A puritanical city council preferred the name Koetelwijk when this drift road had to get a name instead of the Kitteldreef, still common among old Bruges residents. We want to pay tribute to the popular nature of this neighborhood and therefore resolutely choose the name Studio Kittel. Now it's up to you to write history here...
