After many years as a guest, we were lucky enough to get our little piece of heaven near the Jervis Bay are. The Basin Nest, our holiday home, was our chance to experience the are as locals and it has never disappointed. I have been lucky to visit multiple short term accomodation rentals worldwide, and like everyone I have had exceptional, great, good, bad and very bad experiences. I have taken all of this into consideration when setting up my holiday house. Each corner has something I personally picked and loved. I live a very busy and demanding life, so this nest is a place where I absolutely relax and disconnect (although always connected with wifi, my favourite TV apps, phone signal etc). There is never a dull moment. The house has everything to be cozy during summer or winter season. I have made sure that the house has extremely comfortable bedding and pillows (because I struggle with these when travelling). Same thing regarding how well equipped the house is. Trust me, it has everything you can think of and more. We love pets so it is a pet friendly property for one small dog per booking. Add to that the proximity to Jervis Bay pristine beaches (15 min. drive) and the basin (400mts), wildlife and quietness. What else can one possibly ask for.

I am a Chilean/Australian researcher, wife and mum (of human and animal babies). In my free time (when I find some) I appreciate staying home baking, listening to music, watching a movie, reading, going to the beach and bush walks. I am absolutely in love with NSW South Coast since we 1st moved to Australia. It is what I imagine heaven looks like.

The Basin Nest is located in the highly sought gated community of Basin Shores, at St Georges Basin. Beyond what the house has to offer, it allows access to all community facilities available: heated salt water swimming pool and spa (we provide beach/pool towels), games rooms (pool table and table tennis; usually available but if you wish to secure a few hours, you might as well book the room using the notebooks available in the room. Simply write our house number), basketball court, picker ball/tennis courts (bring your own rackets and balls), lawn bowls. Even study rooms in case you need to remain connected with work or other non-vacation related activities for a few hours (need to be booked). From Basin Shores gate, just 400 metres away you'll find huge aquatic wonderlands. You can have a picnic there, or if you are into water-related activities, you'll discover great fishing, boating, kayaking or even swimming. The sunsets are pretty spectacular there. If you are more of an ocean person, drive 15 minutes tops and you'll hit any of the many pristine and famous Jervis Bay white sand beaches (Hyams, Chinaman's, Bleinheim, Greenfields, Nelson, and so many more). There is an IGA conveniently located a minute drive away, right next to all the other town facilities.
