The 114 year old stone Baptist Church has undergone a complete and sympathetic renovation/restoration. A Heritage Award recognizing both the effort and sensitive approach to design and detailing which has produced a high quality fusion of the antique and modern clean lined Luxury. From the abundance of polished limestone flooring equipped with underfloor heating, to the modern uncluttered lines of the fully equipped kitchen. Lovely King size beds wrapped in luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linens & towels for the en-suite bathrooms provide the perfect balance for guests to enjoy. The staggering effect of the structural ambience is promoted by a quiet serenity due to the stone build and the 7m ceiling height in the expansive open living area. Along with an interesting collection of paintings which again contributes to the truly unique nature of this exclusive holiday experience. Both Andrea and I have enjoyed the necessarily lengthy process of re-purposing this iconic stone structure. Fueled by our many years working, living & holidaying in Europe, coupled with an intimate relationship with some historic private buildings we are fortunately able to instill some of these qualities to create a unique but most importantly comfortable living environment in an old uncompromising structure. The responses from our guests have been rewarding, validating our belief that couples, friends & families can enjoy the opportunity and privacy to relax and share great food and wine together. Creating some fabulous moments and memories, which are to be enjoyed for years to come. We have often responded to questions regarding the suitability of the Church Stay for a couple alone with 'yes please do it' as we have enjoyed the Church together many times without additional Stay-mates. Equally comfortable for couples or small groups due to the subtle availability of the modern amenities and atmospheric down lighting.
