Mount William Station has been passed down from generation to generation. It has been loved and tended with care since the first settlers ventured out from Scotland in the 1800s. Today, William Abbot has opened up the Homestead to farm stay accommodation.
With a passion for delivering luxury service in an historic stately home, Will has transformed the Homestead into 7 ensuite bedrooms and the Shearers Quarters into 8 rustic rooms with shared facilities offering something for everyone.

Welcome to Mount William Station!
Mount William Station is one of the oldest settlements in Victoria, set at the foothills of the majestic Grampians National Park. The 7,500-acre estate has been a place of sanctuary for generations of the Abbott Family – a place to pause, to enjoy with friends, to take your mind to a different era. Fill your spirit by a log fire, your senses with an exceptional field to fork experience and your soul on a walk across the rolling fields dotted with ancient red gums. Mount William Station has rich green pastures in winter, sun swept paths in summer, and a spot to fish all year round as you sit amongst animals roaming the countryside.
Guests have the choice of two different styles of accommodation: the luxurious Homestead which comes equipped with lounge, dining, kitchen, chef, host and pool, sauna, tennis courts and gardens. When staying at the Homestead, we encourage guests to join us daily for our signature three-course, farm-to-table set menu dinner and farmhouse-style breakfast, both prepared by our in-house chef.
Or the Shearers Quarters, formerly home to the Station's extended family of shearers' and workers, that has since been fully renovated into a rustic farmstay. With eight bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a shared kitchen, dining area, living room, and courtyard, the Shearers' Quarters is best as a group accommodation. For individual stays, guests will be assigned a private bathroom and common areas will remain shared.
Both areas are situated in separate areas of the 7,500 hectare working farm ensuring privacy for all guests. There maybe people staying in other parts of the farm, but you will never know. You get to enjoy the peace and solitude of life on a remote working farm.
