Margo is an essential front-line worker as a full time nurse at Burnie and loves being an accommodation host. Mark is an essential worker tradie with his own business. Being West Coast locals they love having the opportunity to offer affordable accommodation in a place that is like no other in the world. Unfortunately, the pandemic took bookings out completely and interrupted planned renovations and so the prices reflecting some areas of the cottages that need some work. Fabulous value for guests as the cottages cater for everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. There are many things to see and do in Strahan and surrounding areas. Cruise the Gordon River and Macquarie Harbour, to visit Sarah Island and learn about our industrious and roguish history, there's a few surprises there. Go deep into the Western Wilds on the West Coast Wilderness Railway. Please call and check availability as the carriages have limited capacity due to distancing guidelines and you may be disappointed if you just turn up on the day. Have some spare time? Take a relaxed stroll around the harbour, visit our woodworking craft shop, visitors centre and grab a beer or a snack at the historic Hamers Hotel. See our own Hogarth Falls and get to know some local greenery as you take the easy walk from People's Park. Go for a short drive to see Macquarie Heads beach and Ocean Beach.
