Our 8 guest suites are spacious, bright and oh so comfortable. And, being an adults-only property, our guests also enjoy the serenity that this brings. It's an opportunity to 'unplug' from the day to day noise and relax and rejuvenate. As a result Closeburn House is not suitable for, and we can not accomodate or accept, booking that include infants or children. A calming colour palette chosen from the hues of the mountains drive the design ethos of the property, queen size beds topped with organic fibre mattresses and crisp white linens add comfort. All rooms feature private ensuite bathrooms with sumptuous SALUS amenities and walls adorned with original artworks of local landscapes. Closeburn House is quiet, contemporary and understated luxury. In line with this, we have no televisions on the property - which means guests are not disturbed by neighbouring rooms, though we do have fast, commercial grade, free wifi for all guests who do want to connect with the outside world via their iPads or other devices. Our Lounge, Conservatory and Library are richly decorated spaces in which to relax and reconnect with a loved one or a much-loved book. And being fully licensed, you’re very much encouraged to do so with some sensational regional wines and spirits that we’ve carefully selected for your enjoyment. Our guests are invited to make themselves at home at Closeburn House and then enjoy the sensational 2-course, a la carte breakfast. Closeburn House is the perfect retreat to simply relax and revive or your urban base camp for more adventurous pursuits. Within the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains in historic Mt. Victoria, Closeburn House is easily reached by road or rail in around 90 minutes from Sydney. Closeburn House is the ideal location from which to explore all the popular Blue Mountains villages and attractions including Leura (20 minutes) and Katoomba (15 minutes). Closer still is Blackheath (5 minutes) and the Megalong Valley or a little further afield but still less than an hour away are the incredible Jenolan Caves, Mayfield Garden and Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens. And of course, the stunning natural beauty of the Blue Mountains is all around us, with beautiful walks, lookouts and nature right on our doorstep. Don’t be surprised to see some of the local Kangaroo population grazing right here on the lawns at Closeburn House.
