Our guests most appreciate the serenity and views in such a quiet location in Angaston. There is a large living area with a complete kitchen, laundry, study and all the amenities that make your long or short-term stay most enjoyable. Guests appreciate our attention to detail. There is also a pool (heated in summer months) at the front of the house that you are welcome to use in the warmer weather.
We enjoy letting guests do their own thing and we try and be helpful by providing information and facilities so they can do this. Some guests like their privacy, while others enjoy exploring the area, our views and a good chat.
The Barossa is an internationally renown wine-growing area set in a valley with scenic low-lying hills beside and connects to the higher Eden Valley which is well known for its cooler climate wines.
We are on 7.5 acres in Angaston and just a 10-minute walk from the main street. We are at the top of a hill so the walk back takes a little longer, but the views are incredible. Angaston itself has a historic walking trail and a variety of great eateries. There's a blacksmith with a museum attached open on weekends; a cheese shop; a cooking school and a wine bar with a top restaurant at Otherness. There are little galleries, a unique toy shop and good medical facilities.
Just out of town is the Barossa Farmers Market and another top Barossa restaurant - Vintners,
Most people visiting the Barossa will know that it is a top and long-established wine-growing area specialising in red wine and riesling in The Eden Valley. There are over 90 wineries to visit and the vast majority are within a 15-minute drive and include Penfolds, Henschke, Yalumba, Wolf Blass, Seppeltsfield, Saltrams, Rockfords, Turkey Flat and many just as good much smaller wineries.
The more energetic can hire a bike at the Angaston hardware store and use the dedicated bike trail to explore the valley.
