We restored a barn from the year 1824, using only wood, stones and glass. On three levels you find a cosy and at the same time modern holiday home, with a terrace above the village square of Viechtwang, with its baroque church in the center and on the other side with views in the canopies of old trees, a creek and our natural garden. Enjoy the relaxed village life of Viechtwang in the middle of a wonderful landscape.

You can hike directly from the village square, either up to the gentle heights of the Hacklberg and the Bäckerberg, or down to the crystal-clear Alm river. Or you can always follow your nose in the direction of Traunstein. In summer you can walk to the public swimming pool "Alpenfreibad Viechtwang" in five minutes, one of the most beautiful public open-air pools in Upper Austria. On the way to the famous lake "Almsee", located at the feet of the 2000 m high "Totes Gebirge", you can visit the Cumberland wildlife park. Only 15 km away you find the historic city Gmunden located at the lake Traunsee. You reach Salzburg in an one hour drive and Linz in 45 minutes. If you want to bring your dog, please inform us in advance and be aware, that we have to take a fee of 40 Euro for the cleaning of the house. Hope to see you soon in Viechtwang!
