In November 2017 we bought this magnificent house. The dream of living and working in beautiful Carinthia has finally become reality! This small family "business" is run by the family van der Schans-Visser . Henk and Wieske (parents) live in the same house and Marit and Michiel (daughter and husband) are your hosts during the stay (they take care of the check-in / out, cleaning, reservations). Welcoming guests and making sure they have a great time has always been a priority to us. After several years of experience in the hotel industry, it feels like we are ready to do this on our own. Our wish is to make our guests as enthusiastic about the surrounding of Hermagor and Carinthia as we do ourselves. We are looking forward to welcome you!

Schans Appartements is a fantastically located apartment house. The phenomenal panorama view, the spacious garden and modern, cozy apartments make this apartment house unique. All apartments have been renovated and have a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, spacious living / sleeping area and private balcony. There is a common area available as well, adjacent to the apartments, where you can read, relax or dine together. Would you rather enjoy the beautiful view outdoors? In our spacious garden you can find different relaxing seats, in the summer a barbecue, various games and sports are available (equipment for badminton, table tennis, jeux de boules) and most important; enjoy the sun! If you have special requests regarding your stay (anniversary, daytrip, picnic, shuttle service), let us know and we will be happy to think along with you.

There is something fun to do for everyone in this area. For the sporty types there are numerous hiking and mountain bike parcours; the Garnitzenklamm, climbing the Gartnerkofel, Hochwipfel and countless paths through the Gailtal or Karnische Alps. And of course we should not forget the ski area Nassfeld, with no less than 110 km of slopes, only a 15 minutes drive from your apartment. Besides, around Hermagor you can find many beautiful lakes, where all kinds of water sports can be practiced (Windsurfing, pedalos, suppen), but where you can also enjoy a swim, sunbathe and stroll along the boulevards. Examples are; the Pressegger-see, Weissensee, Wörthersee, Faaker see. Fancy going out for dinner, or just go shopping? In the center of Hermagor you can find several restaurants and supermarkets. Furthermore, within walking distance you will find a natural swimming pool, waterfall and beautiful routes through the nature. If you would like to experience the fuss of a city for the variety, there are multiple cities in the area, such as Villach, Spittal and Klagenfurt.
