We have renovated the entire property in late 2013 early 2014 and opened in May of the same year. We love having guests to stay and hope that everyone feels at home.
Hello - my wife, Jane and I, along with our two children moved to Obertraun 10 years ago and still love living here.
Obertraun is a quiet village at the southern end of the Hallstattersee lake, 5km from the world famous town, Hallstatt.
In summer you can visit the Dachstein ice caves and five fingers, watching para-gliders taking off from the Krippenstein.
Down by the lake you can relax on the strand with a picnic and swim in the clear water. Boat and bike hire is available.
With wonderful trails by the lake and up into the mountains you will enjoy a full day.
Winter heralds skiing down Austria's longest piste 11km with 1500 meters decent, and the acclaimed Krippenstein free ride arena. Dachstein West with over 140 km of groomed runs is only 20 minutes away. Both areas are on the same ski pass.Whatever time of year you visit there is always something to do.
