Nelly greeted myself on arrival. Everything was excellent, from check in to check out. She showed me to the room, and ensured I had fresh clean bedsheets. Each guest had a lockable cupboard for their own personal belongings. The hostel, was more akin to an Airbnb, there was a fully equipped kitchen, with utensils, toastie, pots, pans. The bathroom was clean with toilet paper, some shampoo, and hand wash. Nelly also offers a useful laundry service which was reasonably priced, which included washing, drying ironing and pressing of all clothing. There is a local Sunday market at the bottom of the road, with fresh produce and fairly priced clothing. Nelly's place was about a 7/8 minute walk to taksim square and a mere five minutes to the main shopping precint in Isntabul. There is a Sok supermarket about a 3 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again! I stayed at Moon hostel, which was a couple of dollars cheaper per night, but I definitely felt I got more value for money staying at Nelly's. All units at the accommodation are equipped with a seating area. I've enjoyed my stay in this hostel so much, to say the least. I've had the real hostel experience meeting people from all over the world and socializing with them and making new acquaintance. The hostel provides all the necessities for your comfort. The hostel gets cleaned so regularly that the number of people that come and stay doesn't affect the level of cleanness of the hostel. I liked the location of the hostel; it offers easy access to Sabiha airport by metro, the metro station is 3min away, as well as to the high-speed train station, a few bus stations away. Also, the hostel is located in a nice calm area so you get to enjoy a more authentic side of istanbul while also being close to everything using public transport. There's a grocery store under and restaurants around the place. The staff are very nice, helpful and flexible. I would definitely recommend it whether for long or short stays.
