I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is!
The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos.
Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him!
The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case.
I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

Our favourite hostel we have stayed at. As a couple having your own room is perfect and the rooms are beautiful, definitely recommend the garden view ones, they are upstairs and have great views and plants all around giving a jungle vibe. The garden view rooms are really new and contain their own bathrooms and they have access to little shared areas with views and chairs for relaxing. The garden all through the hostel is so well cared for and gives a really lush jungle oasis vibe. The owner was super helpful and we could leave our stuff in the hostel while we were in the jungle. The area is nice with lots of restaurants and its 4 soles to tuktuk to anywhere in the centre city and the tuktuks are always outside the door ready to go. The internet in the main area downstairs is starlink and very fast, upstairs is slower because it's from a repeater but still good. The beds are very comfortable and everything was clean.

Friendly staffs when I found my bunk bed had some problem, they helped to change to another bed. And they gave me some information about how to get to some places
one fan for each room is not enough if the room is full.
