The kind staff let me store my spare bag for a few days while I was away hiking The Able Tasman Costal Track. My return stay was even better.

Everyone I met were amazing, friendly and very interested in why my Husband and i were in Nelson. The uphill was a challenge but doable, the parking was hard as we had a big 4x4 but again it was doable. The owner of The Palace was a pretty cool down to earth person. We enjoyed our stay and we will go back again.

Offering private and dormitory rooms with free unlimited WiFi, The Bug Backpackers is just 15 minutes’ walk from local shops and restaurants. The room was spacious, clean, the bed comfortable. The place was quiet on Friday's night, the manager Trina was welcoming and very helpful. The kitchen and lounge was very clean. I would come back there again.
