Linen and towels are provided in most rooms. This backpacking hostel/lodging house is perhaps one of the most unique and interesting places I’ve ever stayed in my life. I felt like I was inside of Alice in Wonderland. Every corner of the space was an interesting tableau. It’s like I was at the mad Hatter’s tea party, but only in the best of ways.

The property is surrounded by a garden with an abundance of fruit trees and vegetation and offers a variety of budget rooms such as private rooms with en-suites, a self-contained apartment or dormitory rooms using shared facilities. There are pets who live at the property including cats and a goat. Very lovely and intricate motel. Being next to the Picton Harbour and a cemetery, we didn't have high expectations, but the owners have really managed to turn this into a small oasis of relaxation. Facilities were high quality and very clean.

You can play billiards at the hostel. The staff were lovely and accommodating - the Villa had a lovely vibe that made everyone feel very comfortable. Would stay here again!!!

The hostel has a garden and offers a sun terrace. Jacks Backpackers is a cute hostel to stay at during your time in Marlborough. Everyone from management to other guest were very kind and welcoming. The communal spaces are spacious and everything is clean. I felt very safe staying here. It is also close to supermarkets and other stores as well as restaurants and cafes in Blenheim. If you have a car there is also free parking available for guests. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and would always come back when I’m in Blenheim.

Free private parking is available and the hostel also features free use of bicycles for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Both the room itself and the shared facilities were clean, the bed was comfy, the location was good (walking distance from the bus/railway station and the city center) and communication with the hosts was great. self-Check in/out was very easy and convenient. I especially appreciated them letting me check in early!
