Taupo is 40 km from the hostel. Very well set up - rooms tucked away from main living and kitchen ! Kitchen was very well appointed. Sandra, our host was very responsive , friendly and helpful. Wish we would have had more time to stay!

Had a lovely stay at Finlay's, it was clean and comfortable and added bonus of the privacy blind on your bunk if you wanted it. Kitchen was well equipped and staff were friendly and helpful.

It has everything you need and in the middle is a nice garden with hammocks where you can relax. The staff is very friendly and Ian is an amazing guy who really cares about the visitors and wants to help you in every way possible. Planned going there for only 1 night but it became 3 nights because it's hard to leave that place (in a positive way 😉)
