The beautiful surroundings, garden and tasteful interior decor stood out at Eden kandy. The bed is sturdy and comfy. The staff and mr Ayuda are very accommodating and helpful and overall , it was a lovely stay .

Victoria Reservoir Kandy Seaplane Base Airport is 24 km from the property. Very neat and clean. New comer. Kitchen and common area. Clean two shower rooms and the mirror on hand wash dispenser. Comfy bed with curtains, even there's a small window on top bunk. Nice view anytime..

The hosts are incredible, they meet you with a welcome drink, provide home cooked meals for breakfast lunch and dinner with produce from their garden, currency exchange, laundry, tips and advice, answer any questions and can provide lifts into town. Nothing is too much trouble and they want you to have the best stay. The property is beautiful with amazing views of the hills and the facilities are very clean and private. While you eat in their home with them, the dorm and bathroom is in a separate building that also has privacy. The room has lockers and mosquito nets for each bunk and there is fast WiFi. There is also a fan in the room and drinking water available free of charge.

The atmosphere was superb! Exceptional value for the cost. They offer everything travelers require, including a washing machine, with friendly staff.

Boasting a garden and free WiFi, Catch The Ella Train Hostel is situated in Kandy, 1.8 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens and 6.7 km from Kandy railway station. The property is around 7.4 km from Bogambara Stadium, 7.5 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall and 8.6 km from Sri Dalada Maligawa. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Proximity to Peradeniya Railway Station (500m, less than 10min walk) is beneficial for those staying for Ella train boarding. I was unable to reserve a ticket as train was fully booked, arrived at station 5min before boarding, purchased ticket and secured a seat in unreserved carriage, no problems! However, this certainty shouldn’t be the only motivation for staying. A kind greeting by the humble owner, Asanka, was a warm welcome to the property. Respectful, intelligent and intuitive host who creates and maintains a safe and comfortable environment – valued as a solo female traveller. Asanka was more than happy to share his expansive knowledge on all aspects of Sri Lanka and speaks excellent English, a fantastic opportunity to learn. Warmly decorated and well-maintained property. Spotless linen which is professionally cleaned. Large, shared bathroom was clean, towel and soap provided. Asanka also maintains a beautiful garden with various plants and fruits, lovely space to listen to the birds away from busy Kandy city. Location close to stunning Buddhist temple, local eateries, supermarket, Royal Botanical Gardens (with diverse range of flora – and gentle monkeys), hospital, university and public transport. Quick bus (or tuk tuk) ride is easy to access if needing to visit Kandy centre. However, the Peradeniya area had everything required. I was unwell upon arrival, Asanka was caring and compassionate, providing advice to access healthcare, healing medicine and drink in the morning (in addition to breakfast). Breakfast of local cuisine was delicious, cooked by his Aunties. Whilst I didn’t require dinner I noted this could be an option if required. Host made contact upon booking providing valuable advice on options for arrival and was happy answer ongoing questions after the stay. Please support Asanka and the Peradeniya area! And give the beautiful dog ‘Roy’ a big love – he visits in morning with Aunties!

One of my favorite stays at a hostel. I loved the hospitality. Banda, the staff, has one of the best hospitality I've experienced. They are very accommodating, friendly, and puts a lot of heart into making our stay an enjoyable one. Loved there's breakfast and dinner and it's easy to meet other travelers. Space is really clean and comfortable too. Was able to arrange for Sigiriya and Knuckles Mountain tour here.

Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens is 13 km from the hostel and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium is 19 km away. Everything. This is a magnificent place to stay. The owner Chathura is an absolute gentleman and is there to help you from your initial booking to checking how you are after your stay. I've never anywhere received this level of kindness, generosity and professionalism. As as solo traveller he recommended an itinerary of places to visit and see. He went above and beyond anything I could ever have imagined and he told me exactly what I should be paying for each trip and to message him if I felt I was being ripped off. Jude the hostel/Guest house manager is the coolest guy. Can't do enough for you. He is a fabulous chef and I enjoyed 5 terrific meals there. My room was the suite and I'd have paid and would have expected to pay 4/5 times the price. So comfortable. Sitting on the terrace each night chatting with Jude and the fellow travellers and listening to the sounds of nature was exceptional. The Bliss is an absolute gem and I implore anyone visiting Kandy to give it a try, you will definitely not be disappointed. A special shout out to Ajay the smiling tuk tuk driver who brought me on my trips each day. 10 stars to this little piece of Heaven

At the hostel, the rooms have a balcony. All rooms at Kurumbunkz are fitted with a private bathroom and bed linen. I liked that the room was clean! The bedding was clean! The bathroom was clean and had warm water! There was a fan and an AC! The staff were very nice and accommodating. My partner and I got given fresh juice on arrival. The location was also decent, we were a quick walk away from the tooth temple and lake, also near a great dosa and curry place! We could also easily get a Tuktuk when we felt it was a bit too hot in Kandy to walk.

Its a lovely location, very easy to find and walking distance to the city area, restaurants, shops etc. The room is spacious n very clean and place is very calm no disturbances. The owner and the staff are very helpful and flexible. I like the place and I really wanted to spend a couple of more nights. but this time I didn't get enough time, I definitely came again.🙂

The hostel also features free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Perfect location surrounded by nature. The decoration and place it’s super nice. Also staff were super helpful. Tharindu was really nice and helped me to get my AC bus to Nuwara Eliya.
