Wow what an amazing welcome in Sri Lanka. I flew in yesterday evening late at night and the manager came to pick me up from the airport (for free). The room is very good, with A/C, hot water, bottled drinking water. The hospitality of this place is unbelievable. I received a free SIM card (5GB), breakfast in the morning and one of the staff members took me to the bus to Kandy. Actually we needed to chase the bus and I managed to catch it. And so was able to leave a bag here and come to get it when I leave Sri Lanka. I’m a solo female traveller and I felt completely safe. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone .

Shady transit hotel was very close to airport and the room was spacious and very clean as we stayed for 1 night and left in the morning for our next flight. Ashan was very helpful as he was in contact the moment we booked the room and guided through each step and way beyond the expectation , making us settled in . As it was late when we reached at night Ashan helped us arrange the dinner for us as most of the places were closed . A 10/10 place to stay if you are staying for transit. Highly recommended. A very special thank to Ashan in making our stay smooth and for the help in arranging the transfer back to airport as well. Thank you.

I was in Colombo before and went to Negombo because its a nice place very near the airport. There were certain options to go to, curlys hostel was one of the cheapest in my case. I booked for 3 days and stayed at least 11 days because the room was perfect with a very comfortable bed (I was the only visitor for 8 days) and AC in a cozy house with everything I needed. Curly is a superb host, also the employeed house maker called aunty, the hostel got cleaned every day and the food was delicious. Drank also 'Old Arrack' from Rockland with ice there, can very recommend that spirit

I stayed for three nights in this hostel, and I believe it’s the best place to get a local experience. It’s a small hostel, not like a five-star hotel, but what makes it stand out is the personalized service. The staff gave us detailed information about the country and helped us plan our journey. They even arranged a boat safari to Muthurajavela National Park, where we saw monkeys, a crocodile, and many birds, as well as the Dutch Canal and lagoon. I’ll definitely come back before I leave Sri Lanka again!
