I was in Colombo before and went to Negombo because its a nice place very near the airport. There were certain options to go to, curlys hostel was one of the cheapest in my case. I booked for 3 days and stayed at least 11 days because the room was perfect with a very comfortable bed (I was the only visitor for 8 days) and AC in a cozy house with everything I needed. Curly is a superb host, also the employeed house maker called aunty, the hostel got cleaned every day and the food was delicious. Drank also 'Old Arrack' from Rockland with ice there, can very recommend that spirit

It was the best place to arrive and "feel" Sri Lanka! The host and his FATHER were very helpful, kind, helped me with everything! The house is close to the center, nice locals, one step from the ocean. The brewery around the corner is EXCELLENT! Don't miss it! If I go back to the country, I will 1000% go here again!
