The location is perfect — close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-designed, giving that warm, local vibe. Their local breakfast was a real highlight — freshly made, delicious, and a great way to start the day. The in-house restaurant is also worth mentioning; it serves great food with friendly service and a nice atmosphere. At the hostel, the rooms are equipped with a desk. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with a bidet, while selected rooms here will provide you with a balcony and others also have mountain views. Nice private room, quiet location on large road, but away from city center noise. Being in Nuwara Eliya was a welcome break from heat! Comfortable bed, room had a small table with two chairs and a sofa bed. Nice that the wall socket had two USB ports. Large spacious bathroom with great hot water. Nice western breakfast of fruit, omelette and toast. We hiked to Single Tree Hill and to Lover’s Leap Waterfall from the house. Haran the host spoke excellent English and his multicultural background enables him to be super welcoming. When he offered to cook dinner for us, I asked to watch his preparations and spent a delightful two hours learning about making curries, as well as learning more about the culture. Dinner was an excellent value as the portions were generous and food was freshly prepared.

So you have to think twice about whether you need anything else from the city before travelling to the accommodation. On the other hand, you are right in the countryside and there is no city noise.
