The owner is reluctant to use the air conditioning, so it gets very hot in the rooms at night without it. The shower water pressure is low, and there's often no toilet paper. The owner gets upset if you wash clothes at the sink. Aside from being a larger place with a yard, there's nothing good about it. There are surveillance cameras everywhere, even in the bedrooms, meaning you're constantly being monitored while sleeping. Every time I go to the toilet, the owner squats in the adjacent bathroom until I come out. In the morning, there are two slices of toast and an egg; the owner is very stingy. There are signs everywhere reminding guests to turn off the lights. The hygiene is poor; the sheets are acrylic-polyester, the white paint on the walls is peeling, and you can occasionally see insects on the bed. Every morning after the free breakfast, even though it's not yet 11 am check-out time, the owner comes to ask if I'm staying. I haven't done anything to offend him, but he always seems uncomfortable with me, especially his wife, whose name I don't even know and whom I've never spoken to. Every time she sees me, she turns her face away and looks at me with hatred. What a weirdo! I haven't offended her. Am I supposed to fawn over the hotel owner because I'm paying for accommodation? Am I supposed to be beholden to your attitude because I'm paying for services?有空调老板舍不得用，晚上很多人住房间里不开空调很热，淋浴间水很小，厕所经常没有厕纸，在洗漱台洗衣服老板会很不高兴，这里除了地方能大点带个院子，没有什么好的。并且到处都是监控，最夸张的就是卧室里也有监控，就连睡觉也要被监视，住在这里感觉时刻被老板监视着，我每次去上厕所，老板就会到隔壁的洗手间蹲着，我出来了他才会出来。早上有2块吐司面包，一个鸡蛋，老板很吝啬，这家住宿的卫生条件一般，床单是腈纶涤纶，墙皮掉白色的墙皮，并且偶尔能看见虫子在床上。每天早上吃完免费的早餐，明明还没有到中午11点退房的时间，老板就来问我今天还住不住。我住他那里没有招惹老板，反正老板就各种看我不舒服，特别是老板娘，我连她名字都不知道，我从来没有和她说过话。 她竟然每次见到我都把脸侧到一边，用恨我眼神看我，奇葩，我又没得罪你。我花钱住宿难道还要来讨好住宿的老板吗？我花钱享受服务我还需要看你们的脸色?

The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly, and always smiling! The rooms were amazing, even in the 8-bed dorm! It was so spacious, and the beds were HUGE and super comfy. Cleanliness is on top! The toilets always smelled fresh and were spotless, and the rooms were well-maintained and super clean. Another highlight is the variety of chill and work-friendly areas, perfect for relaxing or even working remotely. Plus, they offer breakfast, a simple one (Egg/bread/salad) but was so good. I highly recommend Anou Hostel to anyone visiting Pakse!
