Amazing view, amazing dorm - everything is so beautiful, clean and simply amazing. The owner and his staff are great. It is in a very calm part of the island, perfect to explore the island’s beaches by motorbike and have a very chill and relaxing time. Ppl in the village are great and there a good dinner options.

Showers and bathrooms are very nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Pool, food and sunset view…amazing. Would stay again

The hostel offers a terrace. You can play billiards and table tennis at Villa Blue Lagoon. Super Guesthouse with great employees and very friendly owners. We felt completely comfortable and relaxed. The house as well as the outdoor areas and the pool are very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and cheap. We were even allowed to spend the whole day in the complex after checking out, since our bus didn't leave until the evening. The cats are of course the icing on the cake.

Lovely little Guesthouse with a nice central location which was also peacefull and right in front of the sea. Room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and good shower and fan. Owners were lovely as well and made us feel very comfortable.

Wooden bungalows have straw-thatched roofs and a private terrace equipped with hammocks or outdoor furniture that open up to views of the sea. Rooms are fitted with a mosquito net and the en suite bathroom includes shower facilities. The accommodation blends into the beautiful natural jungle and beach landscape and feels perfect for the setting. Be advised that it is a bit rustic but there's a shower and a flushing toilet and our bed was really comfortable. There are no plug points in the room but you can charge your devices in the dining area. A mosquito net is provided which was great as it meant we could leave the windows open for a cooling sea breeze at night. We were a stone's throw from the water but also surrounded by trees, it was magical. The staff were helpful and friendly but unobtrusive. The food is traditional Khmer cuisine and everything we had was delicious and made with a lot of care. There are also a few other resorts in the bay that serve different food styles. Sunset Beach is more remote than some of the other bays on the island and does not have a ferry port or really much other boat traffic making it perfect for swimming, paddling and snorkeling. This does mean that you have to hike in to the accommodation but it's completely manageable, just be sure to pack in a backpack rather than a suitcase or kit bag. All the pertinent information and directions are sent out in an email as soon as you book. This stands out as one of our best beach holidays, highly recommended.

At the hostel, the rooms include a balcony. This was the most amazing place I’ve been to on my travels so far. Koalama felt like home, the place really has a personality and is not just an average hostel. The atmosphere is so nice, with the music changing every day and catching exactly the vibe of the guests. Delicious drinks, fun games, perfect chill out area and most importantly absolutely amazing, likeminded people! Thanks Fred, for making me feel so welcome and creating such a wonderful place. If you don't plan to come to this smaller island, do it and go swimming with the blue plankton it's magnificent. The owners will give you all the necessary information.
