The dorm room bed was very comfortable, the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hostel. Some credit for that good sleep must be given to the general feeling of safety: all solo female travelers out there, I highly recommend this place! One of the best things for me was the view to the garden and to Mt. Fuji, visible from the common room window. If you need to take a break from busy travel schedules, or need a breather after exhausting yourself in Tokyo, take a vacation from your vacation and check out this hostel. Slow down a bit. Sit by the window, drink a cup of tea and take in the view.

All guest rooms at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. The owner is an absolute sweetheart. She runs the hostel by herself and does all the cleaning and hostel preparations for your arrival. She is fluent in English as well which is a big plus to foreign travelers. I contacted her that I was going to be checking in slightly late and she said it was alright. The first night I stayed in a bunk and the 2nd night was a private room. I slept very well both nights and the hostel has a very home-y feeling to it. The location is also excellent being <10minute walk from Gekkouji station. Owner recommended me to visit Arakurayama park to get a view of Mt fuji and it was worth it. I went at sunrise with other travelers. It is about 15 minute walk to the location.
