Super nice hosts. I broke my leg skiing and the host Suke-san kindly offered to help me retrieve my rental car, ship my bags home and took me to get on the bus to the airport the next day. I couldn't have gotten home so easily without him! Besides all that, the accommodations were well run, clean, warm and quiet, beds were comfy and other travelers were friendly.

The restaurant was amazing. we ate breakfast everyday and dinner a few times during our stay, and the food was always amazing. It was a little quiet, but the hosts were incredibly welcoming, and anan-san even gave us some tips on where to get find powder stashes!

Tho this is far from the popular ski resorts.

I was travelling over 2 weeks, skiing in the day and working in the evening thanks to the 9 hour time difference. The location is a 5 minute walk to the bus stop to get up to the Grand Hirafu Welcome centre and the Ace Gondola so close enough to everything you need, but in a quiet side street. Facilities are excellent, including the washer dryer, this is the first ski trip I am not taking home dirty laundry! The room was excellent, clean and comfortable, and once I had got used to the Japanese heating systems in the property I had a very comfortable stay. Kutchan has some great bars and restuarants, and the prices are much better than in the main resorts of Niseko.
