Staff were so welcoming and arranging. Being able to have a free lift before check in was massively helpful. The location at the bottom of the slopes of Tsugaike is perfect too. A really positive and warm atmosphere - I highly recommend staying there!

One of our favorite stays of our trip! Our hosts were so welcoming and the farmhouse itself is beautiful and so cozy, it's clear that a lot of love was put into the building. Dinner and breakfast were both fantastic, and we both developed a newfound love of barley tea while we were there :)

The best stay during our tour of Japan. This is the perfect feel of what a hostel should be like, a place to meet people who are also travelling and want a sense of community with fellow travellers. After 7pm there is not much to do in the region of Nagano/Suzaka, so socialising and drinking sake with others was an unforgettable way to pass time. The owners are very pleasant and they went to the local market to buy local delicacies for us all to share. Considering we travelled to the area just to visit the Snow Monkeys, this turned out to be our favourite stop and location

We had a wonderful stay at this incredibly beautiful old house. The inn served as the perfect overnight spot for hiking to Tsumago and Magome. Yakkun was an amazing host and told us about the history of the house and prepared hot pot and barbque for us alongside local wine and sake. Highly recommend!

赤石商店 is a lodging property renovated from a private home. There is a well-ventilated living room and a large hall where you can relax on the tatami mats, allowing you to spend a relaxing time.
