They make you feel welcome and I felt I could approach them about anything The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen may just be better stocked than any other hostel kitchen I have seen in all my travels. Surf board rentals are affordable and calculated by day so if the more you surf the more value you get. Speaking of surfing, the location just across the street is perfect. It's very shallow and sandy so no coral reefs or anything dangerous you'd have to watch out for. Perfect for someone who is just starting out

The owners were so friendly, they helped us with recommendations, getting to know the area and even organised a ride to a local restaurant for us to try out. They went above and beyond, also Miman itself is a beautiful place, the rooms were clean and the bathroom was large with 2 showers. There was even a shared lounge area with manga and access to cooking facilities. Overall an amazing place, highly recommend!

Situated in Akune, 24 km from Sendai-kō, Shioya Hostel features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a shared lounge. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. The hosts were amazing. Kind and welcoming, with great recommendations and おいしいコーヒー. The room was large and the guesthouse has a nice vibe and was clean. The rental bikes were useful as many nice places are a bit far to walk. My stay was very relaxing and it was hard to leave again.

The accommodation features a shared kitchen, a concierge service and luggage storage for guests. A wonderful hostel. It's an old Japanese style building, which I found very charming. The dorm rooms and the single rooms are fairly spacious (for hostel standards). Everything is very clean and cozy. There are 2 common areas ( one western style and one Japanese style living room), and a kitchen. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Taketa itself is a very quiet, small place. I did some hikes around town and St Mt aso, though public transport to the trailheads is difficult, so plan that we'll. Breakfast was also lovely (especially the French toast were very tasty!) I extended my stay because I so thoroughly enjoyed being there.

Conveniently situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel is located 49 km from Crasus Dome Oita, 2 km from Kinrinko Lake and 27 km from Beppu Station. With a shared lounge, the 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The accommodation provides a hot spring bath, evening entertainment and family rooms. Very homey hostel with onsen bath. Also has free parking area for guests who drive a car like us. Location even not in the city but not too far. If have chance, would like to go back again. Breakfast was tasty

I would come here again just to see her. The guesthouse is very comfortable, and you can choose to stay in either an old-style Japanese house or a modern house. Shiori-san will always make sure you're happy and plans amazing activities with the other guests staying at the guesthouse. This way, you experience Japanese culture in a unique way. This place will always stay in my heart, and I hope to return soon. I highly & totally recommend it!
