I didn't expect much, but I was really surprised at how a hostel looks like and how good is organised. The shower and toilets are cleaning all the time, and you have a place where to rest, to eat and smoke. When I asked for something, staff tried to find it: like a hair dryer or possibility to hear my food.

Photos don't do this guesthouse it's dues, our room with it's own bathroom was really nice, quaint but with everything you'd get in a larger hotel. Mohammad(the young solo star employee) stayed up and waited on our very late arrival. He also helped me figure out how to buy the jett bus ticket online back to amman, helped store our bags and gave some tips. In reception we noticed tours to wadi rum available for 40jd, if you're coming you may want to email the hotel about that tour etc Continental breakfast was arranged anytime we wanted it The room is very clean, lots of hot water, safe and central area. A taxi to petras gates is 2 dinar or walk downhill 20 minutes. Lovely cafe, restaurant, small supermarkets areas nearby we really liked the Yemen restaurant (Turn right outside the hotel, take the first turn left down the steep hill, then the second right turn, walk 30 seconds and it's on the left hand side, it's 200 meters from the hotel. Beside it and across the road are more cafes and restaurants. We also like the area across from the grand mosque with a fountain, cafes, supermarket it's steps from the hotel and felt very safe there. I've travelled as a solo tourist before I met my husband, if you're a solo female I think this hotel and staff are very safe.

Rafeki Hostel combines the comfort of a hotel with the heart of a home — I couldn’t recommend it more!

All rooms will provide guests with an oven. Very comfortable stay and very helpful and friendly staff! Interesting location in a Bedouin part of Wadi Musa. We can totally recommend this place.

First of all, the manager was really nice enough to wait for me until the late afternoon as I reached the hotel a little bit late. He was super friendly and gentleman. The place is probably is the most clean place I've been to, it exceeded well known hotels and to be honest it exceeded the value of the money I paid. Even he waited for me to finish my hiking in Petra so I made free late check-out. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Petra, it is 5 minutes away from it by car. I would stay there again next time I go.
