Second time I've stayed here, won't be the last. Amazing building. Great breakfast. Quick walk over to Laugarvatn Fontana Spa. Came in late January for the quiet atmosphere. Fabulous interior design. Easy check-in. Fast wi-fi.

Perfect place to rest if you are traveling in the area without having to go sell a kidney ehhehe. Staff is nice and helpful. Thank you Alda for the help with my mistake booking the wrong dates and letting me sleep for 1 more hour :)
Spacious room with a double bed. Nice views to the neighbourhood. Sink in the room. Very confortable bed!
Was sharing 2 full bathrooms with 4 or 5 rooms, everything was nice and clean. Doors can be a little bit noisy but after everyone went to bed is complete silence. Highly recomend Selfoss Hostel, i will come back for sure. Very good value for money!

We were really lucky - the hosts offered us to stay in a separate house for four people instead of the hostel room, and it was absolutely wonderful! The house was very cozy, with a kitchen and everything we needed for cooking. Our group felt completely comfortable and at home there.
The location is great - right between Geysir and Gullfoss, and not far from the main road. There’s also a nearby farm with beautiful horses, where you can go for a horseback ride. It was a perfect stop on our Iceland trip. Highly recommended! 🐎✨🌿

The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The best part of this hotel is its location, which is very close to several must-see spots in this area of Iceland. I was also very lucky because, being in a rural area, I could see the Northern Lights from the hotel. Another strength of the hostel is its staff. They are very friendly and welcoming.
