The place is truly special — the location, the proximity to nature, the respect and care for the environment, and the memorial and history of the owners and the site. The hospitality and communication were wonderful; I felt truly welcomed and cared for. If you want to experience the REAL Iceland and spend time far away from crowded tourist spots, in a peaceful and unique house from the 1930s, surrounded by animals and mesmerizing landscapes, this is the place for you. You should keep in mind that there is a gravel road in good condition leading to the location, 20 km long, and you’ll be greeted by horses and even a reindeer! You’ll need to bring everything you need with you, as there are no shops nearby. But this is exactly what makes the place so spectacular. All this information is clearly stated when you read about the place, so there were no surprises for us. I truly hope to visit again someday.
