They say it's all about the people and it's true. I felt very welcome, almost like living with family or with friends. Very good athmosphere. I know there were many people that usually come here for work, but even as an tourist from another country I didn't felt foreign at all. Thanks a lot for giving me company and a place to stay in which I could always rely on. Best wishes to all the staff members and will I ever come back to Bengalore - I will stay here.

I spent one night in the women's dormitory at Barefoot and Beyond Hostel as a stopover and felt warmly welcomed and as a female solo traveler very safe. Room and bathroom were spotless and spacious. Akshay and Darshan were extremely friendly and always helpful with everything I asked. They even installed a wifi repeater so the connection would reach my room. The area around the hostel is also pleasant. The beach is just a few metres away. There are many cafés and restaurants along the beach, yet the place is calm.
