Extremely quiet and comfortable. That is, if there are few people in the hostel. If people are talking downstairs or on the staircase, it gets a bit loud, but that doesn't last usually. I had the best sleep in Dromid hostel on St Patrick's Day. The idea was to escape the loudness of the city and it worked absolutely gorgeous. I had a private room (one of four from what I gather) which was right above the kitchen overlooking the river. The kitchen was very handy, very spacious with lots of appliances, dishes and nice wooden tables to eat. There's a pub and a store nearby where you can eat and get groceries, but I didn't, so can't tell anything about them. There are mountains and lakes around. I found a trail on an app that leads to Waterville. It took me about 40min walking to get to the beginning of the trail itself. There must be just regular paths people use that are closer and lead to lakes nearby but I didn't explore them.

It was a magical experience to be so close the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the walking trek is absolutely surreal. The lodge had an amazing team of staff members, and Fiona is a true gem. She is an amazing host and truly makes her guests feel special. Big shout out to the pub staff, Ronan is a sweetheart. And the rest of the staff too. Superb experience.

Sive Budget Accommodation in Cahersiveen provides pleasant accommodation close to the many sights of County Kerry. This busy market town offers boat crossings to the World Heritage Site Skellig Rock. The staffs were the most kind and easy going people ever and it really made our stay a whole lot more pleasant. I want to thank them here as we didn’t get to say goodbye upon our departure. Nice town, great breakfast and very comfortable room with a good view.
