I had a great experience staying here. The host is a really chill, down-to-earth guy who genuinely cares about his guests. He was very accommodating to my situation and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and a great place to relax after a long day. At first, I wasn’t planning to do the trekking because it was a bit out of my budget, and we initially disagreed on the price. But despite that, he went as far as to let me set up my tent on his property for free to ensure my safety, which really showed his kindness and hospitality. One important thing to note—before booking, make sure you can afford the trekking with him. He’s very passionate about it, and there could be some misunderstandings if you stay without booking a trek. But overall, if you’re looking for a welcoming place with a great host and a solid trekking experience, this is a great choice!

Guests can dine in the restaurant or a drink at the bar and free WiFi is available. Amazing vibes and super chill environment. The owner and all of the staff are incredible and super fun people to hang with. You go to this place as a stranger but even after a couple days you become like family. I wish I could have stayed longer. 30 min drive to Saroke but no problem because it was easy to rent scooters from salty dog. Best place ever!!

This 2-star hostel offers a shared kitchen, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 4.2 km from Medan Grand Mosque. Located in Little India. Many eateries and bakeries nearby. Mini-marts and two shopping malls a few minutes away. Staff friendly and efficient. Check in and out was a breeze. Thin blanket, towels and drinking water were given upon checking in. Instructions were clearly given. There is a separate locker for shoes located outside the capsule room and a bigger locker for luggages in the capsule room. Anyone with huge backpack or luggage will really have difficulty fitting into the luggage locker. There is no elevator and female room is on the second level and male is on the third. Capsule is of decent size and comfortable. There is a key card to access the pod and also to turn on the lights just like a hotel room. Adequate lightings in the pod and comes with 2 USB slow charging port. No power point in the pod. Power point is located in the common area. Air con is strong. No complains regarding wifi connection. There is even a TV if ever it is working. Overall, very quiet and peaceful. Shared bathroom has 2 shower stalls and 2 toilets. Probable will be insufficient should the property be full house.

I also think what’s not advertised is there’s a private beginner wave out front if the Beng Beng crowd and setup is a bit too intense for those just starting out! It looks like there’s plenty of depth and minimal reef to think about, and will help you practice getting to your feet and going straight (every now and then there’s a face to ride along- and I didn’t see it when there was a really big swell coming through).
