Central, clean, cosy. Very friendly and helpful staff. This excellently run council hostel is a gem. I wish more councils repurposed their beautiful old properties to share their heritage and hospitality with visitors. The Shetlanders should be applauded for their welcome and vision.

Adore this little hostel. Ruth is a great host, and the croft house is lovely - warm, and loads of charm with modern facilities. And the location, wow! One of the most beautiful places in Scotland. There's a lot of geological history, and quite a few walks / things to see around Coigach, so it's worth spending more than one night here.

The youth hostel is in a great location, right on a beach. Karl and Lorna were lovely and welcoming and provided some information on local cycling too which was great. There was nothing at all negative I could say.

lovely hostel located quite near invergarry. it is a nice older building with surrounding stables and land, and is kept up nicely inside and furnished as a hostel. i give it an extra high rating because of the meals offered by staff there, including breakfasts, dinners and packed lunches which we really appreciated. this is a hostel that offers a great hostel experience in a great location at a great value.
