Located around 1 km from Edinburgh Castle, the hostel with free WiFi is also 700 metres away from Edinburgh Waverley station. The property is 100 metres from the city centre and 400 metres from National Museum of Scotland. Great location Easy to find Clean Happy staff very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful 👍 The room was a good size / but could do with a bit more cosy or up date on desk and chair or some love Super nice building and a great location to everything It sounded like everyone was having fun in the bar and wasn’t a noisy place I recommend using the shower in the unisex bathroom on 2 nd floor it’s a old building so it has its quirks I would definitely come back to stay Thanks for making my trip to Edinburgh a great one

The hostel is within 10 minutes' walk of Edinburgh Waverly Railway Station, while Edinburgh Castle and the old town can be reached in around 15 minutes by foot. I LOVED this hostel, everyone that was there was super friendly, and wanted to chat and talk. It gave a really good vibe. The staff was suuuuper friendly. The general decor is quite hipster, i liked it a lot. There is clearly a lot of effort given to this hostel, it is not just the base amenities. There are good systems put in place for the common room, people tend to be clean, and tag their food. The hostel also provide good hairdryers, which is a big plus for girlies. You get USB ports in your bed pod so you can be on your phone while it charges. Also good wifi, i never had issues.

Situated in central Edinburgh, the High Street Hostel - Over 18s Only, Backpackers Atmosphere offers free WiFi in all areas. Dating back to 1564, this historic property is on a small side street, just off the Royal Mile.

The hostel offers single beds in shared dormitory rooms. Each bed has a bedside safe and a locker. The rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities. Quirky, fun decor. Incredibly helpful staff. Provided locking lockers in the rooms. Location was PERFECT.

Mixed and female dormitories have bunk beds and lockers, and guests can make use of laundry services, hairdryers and adaptors. Luggage storage is available at the property. Bicycle storage is available at the High Street Hostel just across the road. The bunk beds in the hostel are comfortable and I slept well there! The common areas are quiet and people respect each other! I liked the fact that there was a socket next to each bed and that you get even a usb contact so that you don't need an adapter to charge your phone 🙂

The hostel offers accommodation exclusively for guests aged 18 years and older. Dormitories feature bunk beds with bedside lockers and have use of shared bathroom facilities with showers. There is a cosy lounge with a piano and large sofas by the fireplace, a movie room with big screen and an internet lounge with WiFi. We loved the view so much! It looked right over the castle. And we felt the whole hostel had a very cozy feel. The location was also very central and ideal.

Just 50 metres from Edinburgh’s bustling Princes Street, Haystack Hostel is set in a renovated 18th-century Georgian building. It offers (not 24h reception) with free Wi-Fi and a fully equipped shared kitchen. The staff was helpful, location was perfect, toilets and showers were clean. I would definitely stay again in Haystack and recommenf it.
