Plus, location is perfect because it’s close to the airport (which is a big differential given the amount I’d have spent on taxi if I had stayed at another hostel in San Jose’s city center)… and the area is really chill, with a beautiful view of the mountains and good restaurants. Definitely staying there again anytime I find myself in San Jose in the future.

The staff is some of the sweetest and most helpful I've had in central America. Nice, well equipped, large kitchen. There's a TT table for those who play. All the common areas being in one place ensures that it's pretty social but not in a loud way. Very easy to make friends and talk to people, find others to plan activities together etc.
