A vegetarian breakfast is available at the hostel. Everything was clean and so homie! I felt right at home with the loveliest staff and comfortable facilities. The location was also perfect as I had a flight the next day.

I like the general atmosphere of the place, and I feel like the common spaces are nicely done to create interaction. There is also a working area you can use if you are teleworking for instance. The air conditioning is put on at night which makes it super nice to sleep. Each bed has its own privacy with curtains, a plug to charge your phone and a light. There is a shared bathroom per dorm. I paid extra for breakfast that was prepared by one of the staff. She was adorable, asked me what I would prefer and made me a different thing each morning. If you are staying more than one night, you can use the laundry service as well for some extra dollars. When I arrived, the person that did my check in also told me about all the different activities to do in and around La Fortuna, including three nice free spots like El Salto (rope swing into the river) or the hot springs. The hostel is located 5-10min walk to the city park, has plenty of small shops, markets and restaurants around and has a few parking spots if you are with a car.

We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

The units at Arenal Poshpacker feature air conditioning and a wardrobe. I booked for two nights but ended up staying four and enjoyed every single day. Rooms are extremely cheap and you get so much in return. Breakfast is good bar is good the staffs is nice and love to chat and help. Having a bar near the pool is fantastic. Booking tours is convenient. We had a problem with one of the transfer companies who canceled the trip without notifying us. It was not the hotel’s fault but they still mitigated the problem as best they could by offering a free room and a breakfast, something that not everyone would do

Almost everything. Extended thrice during my stay. I slept like a baby. Personal fans in every bed and my bed itself was really comfortable. The staff is some of the sweetest and most helpful I've had in central America. Nice, well equipped, large kitchen. There's a TT table for those who play. All the common areas being in one place ensures that it's pretty social but not in a loud way. Very easy to make friends and talk to people, find others to plan activities together etc.

This made our trip perfect and I highly recommend the hostel for everyone who goes to La Fortuna. The rooms were clean and we had a nice balkony to sit outside. It is a great hostel to get to know others.
