Casa Maria was very conveniently located by the bus terminal in La Serena meaning we didn’t have to walk for too long with our big bags. Close enough to the centre and approx 25 minute walk to the beach. The hostel itself was very cute and full of flowers in the garden, had lamps and hooks as well as clean, good-sized bathrooms. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, going above and beyond to help us do our washing and give us directions around the town. We loved our stay!

At the hostel, all rooms include a wardrobe and a TV. Selected rooms also offer a kitchen with a fridge, an oven and a microwave. Beautiful hostel with very well-equipped kitchen. Everything is very well maintained and clean. We loved the pool, the outdoor area with all its plants, the peace and quiet and above all the open-hearted and helpful family! It was the perfect place to stay in Valle Elqui.

El Arbol Eco Lodge is located in a green and exuberant oasis , full of palm trees and a variety of other trees and flowers, where lots of birds have a peaceful and undisturbed place to live. The beautiful beach of La Serena is only 0,8 km away , and the the historic city centre at a 20 minutes walk (1,5 km) Great stay, very friendly staff and super comfortable room. Highly recommend!

Rooms at Hostal El Arbol feature a shared bathroom and some have garden views. Breakfast is included. A very cool mix of guests from many countries. It's 500m to the Japanese Garden (lots of ducks and swans) and the pedestrian bridge (Pasarela), which connects to the big shopping center and has buses to everywhere in the city, the airport, Coquimbo and Pisco Elqui. TIPS: The upstairs bath is the nicest. Consider staying in Vicuña for a night or two -- very charming, easy access to Pisco, and heaps of deep space observatories with telescopes (Pangue is the best).
