The location of the Hotel and hostel is excellent. It is just 500 meters or less walking distance from the Lugano Main train station. From Platform No. 3 or 4, start walking in the backward direction, and anyone can see the hotel. The hotel surroundings with greenery were one of the best things I liked most. It has a big common room for dinner, tea time or even for working on your laptop. It is also a perfect place to work from anywhere. All the staff were helpful and made me feel at home away from home. I couldn't ask for anything better than this. I ultimately extended my stay as it was too good to leave early.

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore.

Position was very good! Close to the bus stop that lead everywhere. Very comfortable bed and toilet very clean. Super breakfast included, didn’t expect!! Super dog friendly, I was with my dog and he was very very welcome !!! Loved it

Thank you very much, I had a wonderful stay at the hostel! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and fellow travelers from all over the world. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas were perfect for relaxing or meeting new people. The location was convenient, close to public transport and local attractions. Overall, it was a cozy, affordable, and memorable experience — I’d definitely stay here again!

Surrounded by a large garden, Youthhostel Lugano features an outdoor pool with deckchairs and sunshades, as well as children’s playground and volleyball, badminton and table tennis facilities.

Very friendly staff who made me feel welcomed not only to the hostel but also to the city. Ticino ticket that enables free public transport is a really good invention and I suggest strongly other tourists to use it.

Ostello Pro Osco is situated in Faido, within 47 km of Source of the Rhine River - Lake Thoma and 48 km of Castelgrande Castle. The property is non-smoking and is located 40 km from Devils Bridge.

The simplicity of check in using codes to enter the house and room. The rooms are newly renovated (Aug 2025) with an excellent bed and shower/bathroom. Loved my stay. Highlight was having supper in the villages Restaurant Osteria Salzi (village square). Would recommend both to anyone hiking through on the Strada Alta and the Trans Swiss Route (Nr 2).
