The rooms were nice, with comfortable mattresses, made bedding, and a sink and mirror in the room. A European and a Swiss style outlet at the bed, a good shelf, and an adjustable reading light. Tons of very nice common spaces, including a well-equipped and huge kitchen area. Breakfast was simple (bread, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and juice) but high quality including locally baked fresh bread. The shower rooms were large and had lots of hooks and dry space to put your things. The staff were friendly and accommodating and everything was always clean. The building itself is cool too.

Featuring a shared bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Walters Hostel Interlaken also offer a mountain view. Guest rooms include a safety deposit box. Room is huge, I really the big table in the room. We can use that table for multi-purpose. The kitchen is very nice too. We can cook our food when staying there.

No need to plan your meals ahead, as the supermarket is just 2min walk away and open 365days a year. it was my first time traveling alone and also my first time staying in a hostel. it was AMAZING, i met so many lovely people, the vibes were amazing, the staff was also super nice and would help you with anything you need. location is also great, close to the train station and the bus station is just across the street. i absolutely loved my stay at balmers hostel, it was really cozy too and you can visit so many places around interlaken staying here. absolutely recommend it
