It also features panoramic views of the local mountains. I booked a single room here at a price I was really happy with — and it turned out to be such a lovely stay! When I arrived, the owner had even placed a little Swiss candy on the towel, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. The room itself was small but cozy, with everything I needed: a space to hang my clothes and a large drawer that could store so many things — I loved it! It helped me keep everything tidy and easy to access during my stay. The shared bathroom was always clean and had a pleasant wooden scent. It was rarely crowded, so I could use it comfortably at any time. The fridge is on the ground floor and, if I remember correctly, available between 15:30 and 21:30. I didn’t notice that at first and tried to use it in the morning — but the owner was super kind and immediately opened the door for me without hesitation. Breakfast was also delicious and surprisingly varied. My favorite part is the little colorful peppers and cucumbers — I had never tasted anything like them before, and they were absolutely amazing! I only tried them on my last day, and honestly, I wish I had sooner. Every day I spent here was warm and happy. I really recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and homely stay. Oh, and fun fact: I even ran into the lady owner while hiking in Männlichen — lovely coincidence!

Boasting a bar and views of mountain, Schutzenbach Backpackers For Adults 18-34 years only is situated in Lauterbrunnen, 16 km from Grindelwald Terminal. 32 km from Giessbachfälle and less than 1 km from Staubbach Falls, the hostel features ski storage space. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Staff was wonderful ( the owner and gigi the star from the bar ) , nice place and fully equipped!

In winter, a shuttle service to the surrounding ski areas is provided. Free WiFi is available in all areas of the hostel. Location is ok and rooms are also good and clean with kitchen facilities. Staff is cooperative and helpful. Good place with reasonable prices.

We slept in a bunk room with a view of the mountain. The room was so clean and shared bathrooms were spotless. The kitchen and dining space were well equipped. Could have not asked for a better stay. Just postcard picture perfect!

All rooms at Youth Hostel Grindelwald have wooden furniture and offer nice mountain views. It was clean, comfortable and was only a 10 minute bus ride away from Grindelwald city centre and the balcony gives a nice view of the mountains. Food was satisfactory and there was a good spread for breakfast that could fill you up.

As a returning guest for the 3rd time, This hostel never disappoints. It has maintained its glory all these years as if my stays were always the first time.
