It is a working hostel, so it was nice that they hosted a job seeker workshop to give some insight into what the Aussies are looking for. Made some amazing friends who were had the same relative goals and not party 24/7. Love the family dinner night and programming. Shout out to Arnie and his amazing spa night that was 1000% needed. The staff were cleaning warriors and Amanda has a killer work setlist.

Featuring a shared lounge, the 4-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a 24-hour front desk and organising tours for guests. It was our first time staying at a hostel and summer house is the best one we could have picked. The private room is spacious and the bed is super comfortable. The toilets were very clean and new. The staff were all extremely nice and everyone else that we met were all welcoming. The bar downstairs serves a great pint and its very easy to get into the city from the hostel by tram. The kitchen, although a bit small, was cozy and well cleaned every day. We could borrow an iron and hair dryer from the reception which was really helpful. There is a very cozy TV room and the staff was really helpful and accommodating to us. They definitely made our first hostel experience an extremely pleasant one. Kudos to the team at summer house!
