The tour desk provide Magnetic Island maps, help book Great Barrier Reef tours, Museum of Underwater Art diving and snorkelling trips and local tours experiencing the fringing reef and land based adventures. Excellent location! Incredible staff that go above and beyond and tons of activities everyday. Wish I could’ve stayed longer! Plus the cabins are really cool and clean - so is the shared bathroom!

Rooms are complete with a shared bathroom equipped with a shower, while certain rooms at the hostel also provide guests with a seating area.
A stones throw from Picnic Beach and some great restaurants, bus stop was just as close!
Quiet and cosy, but also a great way of meeting other travellers. The owners dog, Louis, was at the property everyday and was a great company to all! Was very sad to say goodbye. Will definitely be back!

Nelly Bay
Nomads Magnetic Island hostel is situated on the beach of Magnetic Island, only 20-minutes by ferry from Townsville.
The Magnetic Island hostel facilities and features include; Bar, Restaurant and outdoor pool. The Bar also provides Nightly activities.
We stayed in a private room and got a hut with a view of the beach which was really lovely, the hut was clean and had everything we needed. This is a really social hostel with events every night in the bar. We hired a car to get around the island, which the reception staff organised, I can’t fault this place!

Good location to the port, nice swimming pool and clean room. Excellent value for money a family room for 5 worked out cheaper than the hostel we checked out of.

Lovely location - close to Horseshoe Bay. This is definitely the best hostel option on the island. The private cabins are small but nicely furnished with a double bed, side tables and mini fridge.

Great location, right on the beach where you can snorkel. Also bus stop right outside the hostel, quite convenient. Cheap drinks and social place, nice to meet people.

In my opinion Horseshoe Bay is the nicest part of the island and Selina is so close by. Lovely beach, good bus service and a couple of really nice cafes and restaurants on the sea front. Selina Magnetic Island itself is the best hostel I've stayed at anywhere in the world. Great facilities and rooms, brilliant setting, good food, great staff and activities on offer. Really enjoyed my time there and would return and recommend to anyone.

The duty manager Roxanne was very professional, polite and informative. The units were clean and comfortable with plenty of facilities. Great location ensuring a quiet, safe and comfortable stay.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in!!! Incredible vibes from the chill reception area, the natural pool surrounded by hammocks, to the lighted walkways over a stream. I wish I had spent more time chilling at this awesome hostel. Dorm Cabins had bathrooms, lockers, and plugs for each bed. Everything was really clean
