This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful. Spacious dorms with privacy curtains, socket, light, shelf and even small locker in each bed, as well as a bigger locker in the room. The bathroom had a proper shower (it was not a wet room like in many hostels in Vietnam). There is a restaurant with a variety of nice food, and the included breakfast was very good. They run events such as free beer at 7 pm. It's also convenient if you're leaving Phong Nha on a night bus.

Host speaks great English and is super helpful. Pool looks appealing, is quite long but we didn't have a chance to try it, it was cold outside. There is a space to park motorbikes. Breakfast is tasty, you can choose from the menu and a nice lady will prepare them fresh just for you.

Location was ideal as many tour companies picked up from the location we were staying for free in order to get to the caves.

The Palm Lodge is a lovely new hostel right in the center of Phong Nha. It only opened a few weeks ago, and you can really feel how passionate the owner, Hung, is about his place! Hung and his staff genuinely care about your well-being and always make sure you feel at home. On top of that, they run a small restaurant where you can enjoy delicious local dishes – everything I tried was fresh and tasty! If you need help booking tours or rentals, they’re more than happy to assist and give helpful advice. All in all, I had a great stay at The Palm Lodge and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Phong Nha!
